Nightmares tonight. Feeling nauseous. We need to know and how I wish we did not.

I understand completely. It’s incredibly difficult material, but knowing and making others aware is vital. Thank you for facing it and helping raise awareness.

Can you get this essay into more places?? It is great. The Atlantic would love it!!!!

I am trying to join Americans to meet and impeach Trump by 4/20

This is another attempt to convince Americans to start joining established groups to force the impeachment of Donald Trump NOW.

——-We know that Musk is an irrational pedophile and thief who HAS to be stopped as soon as we can.

—— All Representatives and Senators have to join as one group to end Trump’s administration as soon as possible.

——-By April 20th, Trump will demand martial law over the whole country.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS

——-We need to realize that Trump and Musk have thousands of supporters in militias, the military, and sheriffs.. They will be where Americans are going to fight,. I have seen police officers arresting protest participants who were driving toy TESLAS.

——Trump will use the structured military, and we have to reach our military without letting Trump direct anything.

——There are many more things that have to happen,

take Trump down. We might have to close schools . Many of you that are reading this have the time and the money to start this. I admit that I have been writing about it for months, I know that we can do this by April 20th or sooner,

Thank you, Marc Kohler

A pedophile? How?

Just wondering…significance of 4/20?

Expand full comment
Christine Rendon's avatar

4/20 is Hitler’s birthday. Musk was raised in an apartheid Africa, where they basically worship Hitler and there’s a high probability of Trump invoking martial law on 4/20.

Critical thinking returns! Happy to be a paid subscriber! We can’t sit back with our heads in the sand and think we can wait it out. There is too much at stake.

Thank you for your insights and inspiration. As devastating as it is to consider, I fully believe that this is exactly where we are as a nation - What we have come to. But I refuse to cave to the idea that it is too late for it to be stopped. I wrote a letter, directly addressed to Trump yesterday, and deliver through the Whitehouse website. You can read it here if you like: https://open.substack.com/pub/hazemedley/p/deporting-americans-for-dissent-an?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=12bl9r

For whatever it is worth, it was your writing, and specifically this article, that encouraged my action. Thank you again

Even if these people were gang members, wouldn’t you need more proof than just weird hand gestures in old facebook posts? And obviously due process.

Expand full comment
Critical Resistance's avatar

Exactly, due process isn't optional. These deportations aren't just unjust; they're intended to dismantle rights we’ve long considered fundamental.

CECOT is not a detention center. It is a death camp. Read the article in Vanity Fair. This is the start of a new holocaust. When AI completely takes over in five to ten years, most of us will no longer be needed.

People forget that the worst camps run by the Nazis weren't in Germany -- they were in Poland. They shipped people in cattle cars on the railroads. Our contemporary equivalent would be cargo planes.

Expand full comment
Critical Resistance's avatar

Exactly. Historical parallels matter. Authoritarian regimes often rely on distance to obscure abuses, hoping we won’t pay attention.

Expand full comment
Critical Resistance's avatar

You're right, this is far beyond standard detention. It's an intentional system of cruelty. History has shown how quickly these scenarios escalate when accountability disappears.

Cruelty and heavy handed deportation is the point. The administration is sending the message that US is authoritarian now, no free speech, no right to an attorney, if you do anything this administration doesn’t like, they don’t care if you’re American citizen or not, they won’t be discerning.

Expand full comment
Critical Resistance's avatar

Yes, this heavy-handedness is intentional; it’s a clear threat to everyone, not just the targeted groups. Rights denied to some inevitably become rights denied to all.

This is so depressing. And the worst part, there’s no one to oppose this. No one is coming to save us.

Establishment Democrats are fine with this, a bunch of them just voted to prevent women from voting.

Who will even stop these abuses??

Expand full comment
Critical Resistance's avatar

It's deeply unsettling, but you're not alone. People recognizing what's happening and choosing to act collectively can become a powerful force, far stronger than any political party.

I hope so. We saw people care about each other briefly in 2020 then we went full eugenics once the “lesser evil” took over.

The South Koreans are amazing. When I feel hopeless I go back and read about how they all came out of their homes at 10 o’clock at night to stop a coup. They are better people than we are. Americans won’t even stop spending money on junk for five minutes.

I am heartbroken, nauseous and in fear for our country. This can’t be what anyone wanted, can it?!? Even those who may have voted for this administration? To them, show us that THIS isn’t what you wanted! Please…join us in this battle. This is right vs wrong. We can still debate our many other differences later, but we all must band together to STOP what is happening around us NOW!

Yes, this isn’t about political sides, it's about basic human decency. We urgently need unity and collective resistance, and your message is so important for reminding everyone of that.

Of all the terrible things this regime is doing it’s this that bothers me the most. It makes me sick and we can’t forget these people and our own humanity. Thanks for bringing this to light again as we so easily get distracted by all the other chaos being wrought. One thing I’d like to point out is ICE knew damn will that these people were not violent gang members, they are just going after the lie hanging fruit for their base…anyone who’s brown
