You're right—there's so much happening at once, and it can feel overwhelming. But clarity helps us stay grounded, and resistance is strongest when it's focused. Appreciate the reminder to breathe—this work is a marathon, not a sprint.

The process of dismantling public education began a long time ago. The narratives of 'schools are failing' and 'school choice' morphed into the charter schools and vouchers for private schools we have today. The goal of those who have made a mint off taxpayer monies for education - hedge fund managers and the Betsy DeVoses of the world - is to completely destroy public education but keep the money flowing to the private sector.

We have to make people aware that, along with losing public schools, children stand to lose their right to a free, appropriate public education. When one right is threatened, all of them are.

Absolutely. The privatization push in education is a blueprint for what’s happening to the entire social safety net—gut the system, make people desperate, then funnel them into for-profit alternatives. The more people who recognize that pattern, the harder it is to justify. I have a piece planned on the dismantling of public education in the coming weeks. Appreciate your insight!

I predict public education will erode so much that kids will be forced into the workplace very young, increasingly illiterate and lacking any critical thinking skills. Pushed or drafted into the military to fight useless wars and of course they will also filter into profit based prisons and used for labor.

I appreciate that, and I’m glad this can be a tool for advocacy. Organizing and sharing information is how we keep pushing back against the dismantling efforts. More to come soon.

Very good step by step guide to resistance; leaves out the next step the Republifascists will take though: destroying the election system so that, for practical purposes, progressives will never win another election and resistance will be temporary at most. Sorry.

You’re not wrong—the erosion of democracy is accelerating, and election subversion is a key piece of the strategy. Resistance can’t just be defensive; we have to be proactive in safeguarding democratic infrastructure while preparing for the worst-case scenario. I covered the breakdown of our elections in an earlier piece, but it’s probably worth revisiting and developing a playbook for it. This is a long game, but the more people who see the full picture, the harder it is to implement unchecked.

If you’re not management consultants you should be. Extremely well thought out and built out. The coordinated funding for flooding them with lawsuits is a critical piece…

Now of the 3-4 organizations like MoveOn and Indivisible out there, which will step up to lead which Track? We the people will not be able to action the plan without help and coordination.
